I write about the weird corners of internet culture — the subcultures that pretend they don't exist, the aesthetic labels that got out of hand, the fanfic tropes that escaped containment.

Before quizrocker I was a contributing writer at Autostraddle and Bitch Media. Before that I was writing A/B/O fic on LiveJournal at an age I'm not going to disclose. I have a degree in English Lit from Tulane that I've never used professionally in the way my parents hoped.

My quizzes try to take things seriously that most people dismiss as silly. The fact that 'what aesthetic are you' is a real question that real people actually care about is, to me, the most interesting thing happening online right now.
