// definition

The Percy Jackson cabin quiz determines which Greek god or goddess is your godly parent in Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson universe. Each of the 20 cabins at Camp Half-Blood corresponds to an Olympian or minor god, and demigods are sorted based on inherited traits and domains.

// how this works

Built on research. With a dash of irreverence.

This quiz measures behavioral and emotional patterns that Riordan specifically coded as divine domains in the series. It's not a scientific sorting — it's a cultural framework built on how demigods actually behave at Camp Half-Blood. Each god's cabin has a particular flavor of how they move through the world, and the questions are designed to catch the stuff you do naturally, not the stuff you wish you did.

01

Domain logic over labels

We're asking about how you actually make decisions, not what you value. Athena kids don't just 'like strategy' — they default to it under pressure. The questions catch behavioral baseline, not personality preference.

02

Flip-sides matter

Every godly parent has a canonical weakness. We built those into the results because Riordan's world is one where your strengths and your flaws come from the exact same place.

03

Four results, not twelve

The Big Three are rare at Camp Half-Blood, and the minor gods are deep cuts. These four cabins have the most distinctive patterns and the strongest friction with each other.

Frequently asked

Why aren't the Big Three (Zeus, Hades, Poseidon) all separate results?

Poseidon has a distinct behavioral pattern and made the cut. Zeus and Hades are explicitly forbidden from having children at Camp Half-Blood by the gods' pact in the series — though we know from the books that their kids do exist. The quiz focuses on active cabins with established dynamics that readers encounter in the story.

What about gods like Ares or Aphrodite?

They have huge cabin representation in the series, but Riordan writes their campers more through relationships and social role than through clear behavioral patterns. Ares kids are defined partly by aggression but also by being lowkey insecure. Aphrodite kids are manipulative but also deeply intuitive. We chose the four gods with the cleanest behavioral signatures.

Does this match the books' actual sorting?

Not exactly — Riordan's claimed a few characters are children of specific gods, but most campers we meet aren't explicitly sorted in the text. This quiz builds on the canonical personality patterns he established for each cabin, then fills in the gaps based on how the fandom has understood those dynamics over twenty years.

What if I don't relate to any of these?

The most common crossover is Athena and Hermes — both can be cerebral and strategic, just in different ways. Similarly, Poseidon and Apollo kids can both be sensitive and creative. Your highest scores in two cabins might be more useful than the single result. You might also be a minor god kid, which is statistically true — these four just have the most distinctive behavioral signatures.
