// how this works

Built on research. With a dash of irreverence.

This quiz maps behavioral patterns from twelve dimensions onto three archetypal categories: Soldier (action and duty), Poet (feeling and observation), and King (autonomy and clarity). It's not meant to be limiting — your actual character is always more complex. This is a framework for self-recognition, borrowed from centuries of storytelling about how people move through the world.

01

Behavioral, not aspirational

Questions ask what you actually do under pressure, not who you wish you were. That's where the signal lives — in real behavior, not self-image.

02

Three archetypes, infinite characters

The quiz sorts you into one of three broad types, but the 5000+ character library contains overlaps. You might be a Soldier who reads like a Poet character depending on which specific character matches.

03

Weighted clusters

Each question answers differently — some are diagnostic, some are confirmatory. The scoring method weights responses based on how much signal they contain for each archetype.

Frequently asked

What are Soldier, Poet, and King based on?

These archetypes come from folklore, mythology, and storytelling traditions. You see them across cultures: the warrior code, the artist's sensitivity, the leader's clarity. They're not about occupation or gender. They're patterns of how people orient to duty, feeling, and autonomy. You can be a Poet mechanic or a Soldier diplomat.

Why do some results match characters from totally different media?

Because archetypes repeat. A Soldier in anime shares core traits with a Soldier in prestige TV or classic literature — reliability, forward momentum, duty-first thinking. Your character match might surprise you precisely because it's not about surface similarity. It's about how you move.

Can you be two types at once?

Not in this quiz structure. You're sorted into one primary type based on your aggregate answers. But humans are complex. Your secondary type often shows up in how you behave under stress or with people you trust. The result description acknowledges both strengths and contradictions.

Why did you only make three results if there are 5000 characters?

The 5000 character library exists as a backend — you're seeing the three broadest archetypal buckets. The full character match would require way more questions and more granular data. These three are the foundation. If you want the specific character, you'd need our expanded version.
